BENEFICIARIES
Crape Myrtle Festival’s court of volunteers works diligently each year to raise as much money as possible to give back to our community. Does your agency support LGBTQ+ and/or HIV related causes?
Our annual grant application process starts in September and closes mid-November with a celebration of the beneficiaries for the year. The general timetable is:
September 1: Annual CMF grant application released
October 15: Application submission deadline
November 1: Application awards determined and beneficiaries notified
Mid-November: Harvest Tea - a celebration with CMF volunteers and grant recipients with a check presentation
CMF’s 2021-2022 fundraising year allowed us to give nearly $48,000 to 8 non-profits across North Carolina serving people living with HIV and the LGBTQ+ community:

RAIN (Regional AIDS Interfaith Network), Inc

RAIN, formerly known as the Regional AIDS Interfaith Network, ensures access to quality, personalized care in a nurturing environment for individuals and their families who are living with HIV and associated chronic conditions so they may live healthier fulfilled lives.

Loving Food Resources

Western North Carolina AIDS Project (WNCAP)

WNCAP provides HIV case management, prevention, testing, syringe services, subsidized pharmacy, and housing support for people across 18 western North Carolina counties. We strive to provide equitable access to care and reduce harm from HIV, Hepatitis C, and drug use.
Gay For Good Raleigh-Durham

Gay For Good Raleigh-Durham (formerly ReachOUT NC), the first chapter in the South, energizes and mobilizes the LGBTQ community to interact with the greater community through volunteerism. Throughout the year, Gay For Good Raleigh-Durham hosts inclusive volunteer events, in support of a wide range of causes, to enhance LGBTQ visibility, cultivate understanding and build positive relationships between diverse groups of people.
